No Matter What

No Matter What

This Saturday was my little sister's wedding, and God reminded me of what His love looks like: unbiased and faithful.

If we are honest with ourselves, sometimes, we do more than we need to, because we want special recognition from our loved ones.

We do small and big tasks for approval, admiration, and validation from others.

I expect special recognition because of my title.
I demand more because I gave more than others.
I deserve it because of my righteousness.

But my little sister's love is like God's love for us.
She doesn't love me more or less, because I fulfilled my role as a Maid of Honor. She's not going to reward me with a special gift, because I did everything she needed me to do.

The mighty and awe-inspiring God shows no partiality and takes no bribe when it comes to His commitment to us.

He is a Father of no-matter-what, and He has chosen YOU to be his daughter, along with all of your imperfections, to let you know he cares for you.

The Lord had his heart set on you and chose you, not because you were more numerous than all peoples, for you were the fewest of all peoples. { Deuteronomy 7:7 }
